My first, most fond memories in the kitchen are those spent standing on my tippy toes, helping my mom stir fry vegetables and noodles. Although I no longer need a step stool to cook, my love for the kitchen remains.
Over the years, helping my parents in the kitchen has taught me about food, flavors, family, and my culture. Growing up in an Asian household, prioritizing food and home-cooking was not only modeled, but encouraged.
